Winston-Salem, NC- Special Offers for Thunderbirds Home Game VS Danville Dashers on 1/18/18.

Thursday’s Thunderbirds Game vs. the Danville Dashers WILL be played at the Fairgrounds Annex at 7:35 PM.

With questionable travel conditions and a majority of area schools closed for tomorrow. The Carolina Thunderbirds and Winston Salem Fairground Annex want to reward all students who used the snow day to their advantage. Simply come to Thursday’s game and tell the ticket seller “I have finished all my homework” and they will provide the student with a $5 ticket.

In addition, Go Live, the official video streaming service of the Federal Hockey League will be providing FREE viewing of the Thursday contest. “We are working with the Thunderbirds and the Federal Hockey League to provide a safe way for fans to enjoy Thunderbirds hockey and be safe. Our organization understands that this type of weather is not normal for the area and our organization is concerned with fan safety,” said Kelly Rinne VP of Production and Operations for Go Live Sports Cast.

The game will proceed normally, with the puck drop at 7:35 pm EST from the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex, the doors will open at 6:35 pm. The Thunderbirds and Dashers will also be playing Friday and Saturday night. Friday’s game is also a 7:35 pm puck drop, and Saturday will begin at 6:05 pm, with the doors opening 1 hour prior to game time each night. Saturday’s game is Veterans Appreciation Night, and the Thunderbirds will recognize the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. Carolina will wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off post-game, with the proceeds going to benefit veterans charities in the Triad. Veterans’ Appreciation Night is proudly presented by WTOB “the Big 980”, 980 am and 96.3 fm in Winston-Salem.
