[TRANSACTIONS] Thunderbirds tweak roster and get coach back for weekend
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Carolina Thunderbirds, proud members of the Federal Prospects Hockey League, have a completed a handful of transactions ahead of this weekend's matchups vs. Watertown and Columbus.
Carolina has signed forward Colin Murray and defenseman Tyler Davis. Murray played last season with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL and led the Dawgs in points last season.
Davis also played last season in Roanoke. Both are former teammates of current Carolina Thunderbird Everett Thompson.
Thompson, along with forward Michael Bunn will be available to play on Saturday, Feb. 8 after their suspensions are served.
The Thunderbirds are also projecting Brendan Logan to be in the lineup for all three games this weekend.
Fan-favorite and former-NHLer Steve MacIntyre is also slated to play on Sunday vs. Columbus.
Lastly, after filing an official appeal, head coach Andre Niec has had his two-game suspension lifted and will be eligible to coach this weekend.
Next week at Danville, Carolina is expected to return an award-winning, fan-favorite to the roster from last season.
