Thunderbirds Loan Two To SPHL

Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds today announced the loan of Taylor Love to the Macon Mayhem and Henry Dill to the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).

Love has spent time in the SPHL this season with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs in training camp though he never appeared in a game for them before coming to the Thunderbirds in 2018-19. Love has over 25 games of SPHL experience from last year with both Roanoke and Fayetteville.

Love has appeared in eight games this year registering three points (1G-2A) and 29 penalty minutes.

Dill was recently named FHL goaltender of the month for November with a 5-0-0-2 record (W-OTW-OTL-L) and two shutouts in that time. Dill currently sports a 1.86 GAA and a .924 save percentage after suffering the shootout loss on Saturday night against Port Huron.

Dill is a first year pro with no prior SPHL experience. He spent two years at UMass-Amherst and two years at Utica College prior to turning pro.

NOTE: A previous iteration of this story said both Dill and Love have been loaned to Macon, this was an error and has been corrected.
