Winston-Salem, NC – Thunderbirds Back at Home, Players Signed, and Upcoming Events.

What’s New

After a rare weekend without any games, the Thunderbirds are preparing for their first games of the new year. Over this past weekend the Thunderbirds hosted a charity sled hockey game, playing against the Cat 5 Canes team. Despite a 9-2 drubbing at the hands of the Cat 5 Canes, the Thunderbirds players and staff enjoyed the game immensely, as did the fans in attendance. The team has raised $1,200 towards sled hockey equipment for players right here in the Triad.

Carolina has also signed Ray Boudiette, hailing from Fairfield, Connecticut. Boudiette plays both forward and defense, and stands at 6’2” and 201 pounds. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Boudiette most recently played for the Fayetteville Marksmen of the Southern Professional Hockey League. In 18 games Boudiette scored a goal and would assist on 4, as well as amass 4 penalty minutes.
