Professional Wrestling Returns to the Annex TICKETS ON SALE June 12, 2017 at 10 AM!

The Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex will host a family friendly professional wrestling event on Friday July 14, 2017 at 7:35 PM. VIP doors for the event will open at 6:00 PM, and general admission doors will open at 6:30 PM. The event will feature former World Wrestling Entertainment, TNA, Ring of Honor wrestler & NBC’s American Ninja Warrior participant Zach Gowen. This high flying superstar is one of the most inspirational wrestlers in history.

Gowen is the world’s first one legged pro wrestler. As a young boy, he lost his leg to cancer. When he became an adult, he pursued his dreams and defied the odds by making it all the way to the top. On WWE TV, he clashed with Brock Lesnar, The Big Show, Matt Hardy, and Vince McMahon. Gowen was a part of one of the most memorable TV segments of all time with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Aside from being a professional wrestler, Gowen is a national motivational speaker. He enjoys his out of ring time spending time mentoring and inspiring kids to achieve their dreams.

Also scheduled to appear on the card is the charismatic tag team known as The Tate Twins. Nicknamed “The

Boys,” this athletically gifted duo has competed for TNA Impact and Ring of Honor. The Tate Twins can be seen each week on national TV teaming with Dalton Castle on Ring of Honor. In addition to these international headliners, an exciting women’s wrestling bout has been signed. Former National Wrestling Alliance Women’s Champion & Shimmer star Zoey Skye will go toe-to-toe with “Virginian Powerhouse,” Natalinia Corvino. The under card will feature top regional wrestlers from across the country. Fans will see plenty of suplexes, sleepers, and slams as several regional championships are scheduled to be defended.

Tickets for the event will go on-sale Monday, June 12^th. Tickets price range from $35 for the first-row ringside to $10 for adult general admission and $5 kid’s general admission. VIP Ringside seat prices are $35 for row one, $25 for row two and $20 for row three. VIP packages include: Ticket, VIP Pass, Event Poster, Meet & Greet with the Wrestlers, Early entry, Hot Dog, Soda and Popcorn! Remaining general admission tickets are just $10 for adult and $5 for kids ten and under. Tickets are available online as well as at the Annex box office.

The event is being presented by Que Pasa Media, Winston-Salem Fairgrounds and the Carolina Thunderbirds. Qua Pasa Media is providing a FREE kids ticket voucher (with a paid adult) in upcoming newspaper additions. Vouchers must be redeemed at the Annex ticket office and limit three kids per paid adult. The Winston-Salem Fairgrounds and Annex continues to keep community entertainment a priority moving into the future. The Annex has also recently completed minor renovations as part of its aesthetic improvement process, fresh paint and a new lobby flooring are noticeable changes along with a new roof coating and other operational improvements.
