Kenney Back On Active Roster; Croop to 30-Day IR

Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds are announcing a roster move ahead of Saturday's game against the Mentor Ice Breakers.

Jay Croop has been placed on the 30-day Injured Reserve with a lower-body injury. In a corresponding move the Thunderbirds have re-signed defenseman Jay Kenney to the active roster.

Croop returned from an injury that prematurely ended his 2017-18 season and played in 11 games registering seven points (2G-5A). Croop was injured after falling awkwardly during a fight in Friday night's game.

Jay Kenney draws back into the Carolina lineup after playing in three games previous this season. He has no points so far in 2018-19 and 22 penalty minutes to his credit.

The Thunderbirds and Ice Breakers play on Saturday night to conclude a stretch of four games in four days for Carolina. Puck drop is at 6:05 P.M. with a 5:40 pregame show on the Carolina Thunderbirds broadcast network.
