How to Watch and Listen to the Thunderbirds This Season
Hey Flock, we're very excited for the season to begin tomorrow and we thought we would take the time to tell you about all the different ways to follow your favorite team this hockey season.
We are returning to our flagship station WTOB for our second season. All games home and away will be broadcast over the air on 980 AM, 96.3 FM and streaming online from their site WTOB980.com. Listening to the Thunderbirds through WTOB is always free.
We are also happy to announce a partnership with TFM Sports to bring you live video of all Thunderbirds games. TFM Sports will be streaming all FHL games this season with the home team bringing coverage to the site. This means for all Thunderbirds home games you will hear the same call on WTOB as you will on TFM Sports but with the added benefit of live video. When the Thunderbirds are on the road the home broadcaster will be the featured voice on the telecast. Don't worry though Flock, we are currently in the process of setting up audio only feeds on TFM Sports so that Thunderbird fans can still listen to the voice of the Thunderbirds, Zak DeBeaussaert, call every game. And of course live audio is always free and available through WTOB.
TFM Sports video broadcasts cost $5 per game, home and away.
There's also chances to catch Thunderbirds coverage during the week!
On WTOB from 6-7 P.M. every Tuesday it's the Labatt Blue Coach's Show live on 980 AM, 96.3 FM and streaming on WTOB980.com. The show often hits the road to broadcast remotely from various establishments in Winston-Salem.
Last but certainly not least, it's possible to catch Thunderbirds games on TV now! We've partnered with WSTV (Spectrum channel 13) to air all Thunderbirds games on tape delay from the previous weekend on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Check local listings for details.
We're excited for another action packed season of hockey in the Triad and we hope with even more ways to follow the team, you are too!
