Fejt Suspension Reduced To Three Games

Winston-Salem, NC- The Carolina Thunderbirds are pleased to announce their appeal of Dominik Fejt's suspension was successful and the defenseman's suspension has been reduced to three games (one already served).

Fejt was originally suspended five games for actions that occurred during the game on Friday, March 15 against the Mentor Ice Breakers. The Thunderbirds were disappointed in that ruling and filed a formal appeal yesterday.

"We appreciate the league looking into this and believe it is a fair resolution" Thunderbirds president/GM Scott Brand said. "Today's decision is more in line with the actions that occurred on that night based on league precedent."

The reduced suspension means Fejt will be eligible to play next on March 29 against the Port Huron Prowlers when the Thunderbirds travel up to Michigan for the final time this regular season. Fejt will miss this weekend's two-game set against the Elmira Enforcers.

Carolina and Elmira finish their season series this weekend at the Fairgrounds Annex with Friday and Saturday night games. Tickets are beginning to run low, so secure your seat by walking in to the Fairgrounds Box Office or online at TicketMaster.
