Dill Earns Second Goaltender of the Month Award

Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds are happy to announce that Henry Dill has earned his second FHL goaltender of the month award this season given out by the league office.

Dill is currently on loan to the SPHL's Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.

In the month of February, Dill returned to Winston-Salem after finishing a loan spell in Macon (SPHL) and picked up right where he left off with a big win on February 1 to move the Thunderbirds into a tie for the FHL's all-time long win streak at 21. The streak would be broken the next night and continue all the way to 24.

Dill would appear in three other games in February and won all three. His record for the month stands at 4-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .925 save percentage. Overall this season in the FHL Dill is a sparkling 9-2-1 with a 1.91 GAA and a .924 save percentage.

This is Dill's second goaltender of the month after winning the award previously for October/November. This is the fourth "of the month award" the Thunderbirds have picked up this season with Jiri Pargac and Christian Pavlas taking home rookie and goalie of the month respectively for December.

Dill is a native of Columbus, Ohio and is in his first season as a professional. He spent two years at UMass-Amherst and two years at Utica College for his college hockey career.
