Dill Back To SPHL, Joins Thompson In Roanoke

Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds are announcing the loan of goaltender Henry Dill to the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

Dill will be making his third appearance in the SPHL previously spending time with the Pensacola Ice Flyers and the Macon Mayhem, Dill will also be joining one of his old Thunderbird teammates Everett Thompson who is currently with Roanoke on loan. Dill's SPHL stats (all with Macon) are a record of 2-2 with a 2.55 GAA and a .883 save percentage.

Dill played in four games in his second stint with the Thunderbirds this season winning all four games and posting a .925 save percentage and a 2.00 GAA. His FHL record this year is 9-2-1 with a 1.91 GAA and a .924 save percentage.

Dill was previously named FHL goaltender of the month for October/November.

The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs are currently in the thick of a playoff battle sitting 7th in the 10-team SPHL. Dill will join the Rail Yard Dawgs just as they hit the road to take on the SPHL leading Peoria Rivermen (who have former Thunderbird Beau Walker on the roster) in a three game weekend set.

In a corresponding move the Thunderbirds have re-signed Frankie McClendon to the active roster.
