Thunderbirds and Childress release new wine labels

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- On Tuesday morning, the Carolina Thunderbirds announced a new partnership with Childress Vineyards.

In time for the holidays, the Thunderbirds have released a pair of custom wine labels from Childress.

“We couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity to showcase our new brand as well as partner with such a prestigious North Carolina-based company,” said general manager Kelly Curl.

The wine labels were designed in-house by the Thunderbirds with oversight by Julia Kiger of Childress Vineyards. The red wine label, called “Thunderbirds Red” is based on the traditional home jersey for Carolina. “Carolina White” is the white wine label and is designed with the new “Script and State” logo, based on the Thunderbirds road uniforms.

At the base of the bottle the Thunderbirds have placed logos commemorating the 2019 regular season and Commissioners Cup titles and the 2020 west division title.

Bottles of “Thunderbirds Red” and “Carolina White” will be available for selection on Thursday, Dec. 17 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex from 2-4 p.m.

A $40 donation to the team will get you one bottle of either “Thunderbirds Red” or “Carolina White,” while you can take home a set of both for a $75 donation. These bottles are in limited supply, so there will be a first come, first served policy. These can not be pre-ordered or put on hold.

All donations from these custom labels will be aiding the players in their travels during the holiday season.
